How To Get Involved
Well, you've found the website, so the first step is set towards a fun filled and active social life :)
To find your nearest clubs, click the 'Groups' tab on the left. The list will show you the different areas (as all clubs are associated to an Area) and all the different clubs are listed below that in alphabetical order. When you click on one of the clubs you will notice that there is a contact tab near the top of the page. Any email sent using these contact forms go directly to that group.
We would recommend to give them all a try as each one is different (and the more people you meet, the more likely you will make lots of new friends!).
There is also a national contact number which you are welcome to call. Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, so if you call and it is answered by an answer machine - please leave a message saying you are calling regarding Plus, your name and telephone number... We're sure to call you back.

No Plus or Quest club anywhere near you?
You could start up your own!
Plus groups are for people between 18 and 35 year young and Quest groups are for people aged 30 and upwards, who would like to enjoy a Plus social life.. Some clubs meet once a month, every other week or even every week (club night mostly during the week) and they all organise things to do in weekends.
Clubs have to be related to the area they are in (if you're not sure what your area would be, just ask and we'll find out for you) and at the moment the Plus annual membership fee to that area is £25pp (2008) and Quest annual membership fee is 75% of the current Plus membership fee (75% of £25 = £18.75pp).
It will be up to the club to decide to charge subs and what to do with that. Some charge weekly subs and the club keeps that money for publicity and other group running purposes. Others charge subs and half of the subs go towards the renewal of the members annual membership. Some clubs charge a higher membership fee than the fee they need to send off to the area to cover running costs and some of them do the same and don't charge subs..
Every new club will have to fill in a feasibility study, need 3 members to start things up (Chairman, Administrator, Treasurer), a club bank account and a place to meet. Some areas give start up grants and all of them are happy to help out with any issues.
It is common practise that all your Potential New Members can come along for 4 weeks, free of charge, before you ask them to fill in a membership form and hand over the membership fee.
