We would like to invite you all for a Quest for Glory and Medieval Mayhem at Fort Nelson, Portchester, Hampshire.
Meet Fareham' organisers by entrance bridge to Fort Nelson, at 10.30 am, for registration/last minute information.
- Admitted to Fort Nelson, then free to explore:
"Unravel the exciting past of this fully restored Victorian fort. See hundreds of historic guns and cannon from every corner of the world, including the infamous Iraqi Supergun and record breakers like the world's largest cannon ball.
Make your own way through secret tunnels and underground chambers, hand dug by Victorian navvies and designed to protect the garrison from attack. Hear all the intriguing stories unfold with a hand-held Acoustiguide or a special guided tour.
Feel the noise and power of the great guns fired in salute every day."

Enjoy the medieval activities:
"Medieval mayhem and ancient action. Have a go fun for children of all ages to enjoy, including archery, mini-jousting and shooting a siege catapult."
Afterwards there will be a barbecue at Lee-on-Solent (bring your own drinks).
