Nicholson House
Nicholson House, Old Court Road, Newent, Gloucestershire GL18 1AG
Nicholson House was, until May 1998, the Headquarters of The National Federation of Eighteen Plus Groups. It housed the office from where the Administrative Officer worked and was used by the National Executive Committee for their meetings and the training meetings they held.
Before being purchased by Eighteen Plus in 1978 the building was a Courthouse and Police Station. It is situated in the pleasant town of Newent, between Gloucester & Ross on Wye on the B4215. Newent is about three miles from junction 3 of the M50.![]()
Since the Federation obtained Nicholson House, it has been extensively improved and refurbished, though at the same time retaining the historic character and interest of the building.
Nicholson House was sold in 1998 and was turned into a 'Crime Through Time' museum thus returning it to a state fitting of its original purpose but keeping the name Nicholson House.
