Apologies for the late information.
But finally got round to paying so it is now confirmed.
This is the hugely informative and very important SACM
- Southern Area Council Meeting. This is where decisions are made. The people who attend this meeting decide how the money is spent. They could just as easily vote to spend the money on a huge party. Just for them.
If you want to complain about any thing this is the place to do it. Not via e-mail, but in person with the committee present who are held to account by the people who attend. If you do not come to this meeting then you cannot complain. In the past few years if has been disappointing to see how few people come to these meetings.
One message taken from this could be that everyone is happy how things are being run and long may it continue. Another message could be that there is no one out there who cares and the committee might as well do whatever they choose. Eg spend the money on a party for themselves.
Please support the hard working members who make Plus work, by attending one afternoon once every three months. It is only three hours and you never know you might learn something or even get something.
Directions:
Leave M4 motorway junction 12 towards Reading . Do not go towards Theale. At next roundabout for Sainsburys go straight ahead. Shortly afterwards there is another roundabout turn left here. There is traffic calming where you have priority, carry straight on. As the road bears right half way up the hill turn left into Highview. It is signposted Calcot Centre. At small roundabout turn left through gates and park in car park. Go to the front of the building near the hill. Up the steps and into the committee room. You should finds lots of other people here.
After the meeting I am arranging bowling at the bowling alley walking distance from the meeting(behind Sainsburys).
There is also snooker, air hockey, public bar etc here as well. So after the politics we can also have some fun. Let me know if your interested in bowling so I know how many lanes to book.
