How to subscribe, post without receiving mail, read via the web, toggle between digest and normal mail.

+ To subscribe:

Email: send a blank email to:
18plus-subscribe@yahoogroups.com You will receive a confirmation message that includes instructions for confirming your subscription, so please read it and follow them. Once you've successfully subscribed, you will receive a welcome message and a number of reference mailings intended to answer your questions about the Plus mailing list.

+ To Post without receiving mail:
To do this, you must set the no mail flag.

Web: go to http://www.yahoogroups.com/mygroups. (You will need to enter your email address and your password unless you've visited the page before and selected permanent ID cookies.) When your information screen comes up, scroll down the page until you get to “18plus” and then select “No Mail / Web Only” from the drop-down menu box for the list, and then be sure to click the “Save Changes” button (you may have to scroll some more to find it). This will stop the delivery of mail to your email address, but keep your subscription to the list active, enabling you to post without receiving mail.

Email: send a blank email to:
18plus-nomail@yahoogroups.com You will receive a message confirming your change to no-mail status.

+ To Read from a Web Page (useful if you're subscribed but not receiving mail):

There are three URLs that you can use to read 18plus@yahoogroups from the web.

http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/18plus/messages is the URL for the ONElist-gathered archive. The messages have had email address details automatically x'd out. They're listed individually, and the default is by date. There is a place to click to read the messages in threaded form. There is currently no way to view complete digests on the web, so if you prefer reading the digest format, you will have to receive it by email subscription.

+ To set to digest (and back again):
There are two ways - web and email.

Web: go to http://www.yahoogroups.com/mygroups. (You
will need to enter your email address and your password unless you've visited the page before and selected permanent ID cookies.) When your information screen comes up, scroll down the page until you get to “18plus” and then select “Daily Digest” from the drop-down menu box for the list, and then be sure to click the “Save Changes” button (you may have to scroll some more to find it). If you want to change it back to normal, you can select “Individual Emails” from the drop-down menu, and then click “Save Changes”.

Email: send a blank email (or one with anything in the
subject and text boxes) to 18plus-digest@yahoogroups.com If you want to change it back to normal later, you can send an email to 18plus-normal@yahoogroups.com In both cases, you will receive notification that your subscription delivery option has been changed.
