Summer at Dalesbridge, Yorkshire

Hi All, we now have the entertainment set for both Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday is a male/female duo called The Cameleonz they do all sorts of music, including their own as they have a record out at the moment. Then on Sunday we have an acoustic solo artist by the name of Loz Rabone who does does ballads from the 60's right through to the most up to date chart hits.

It is not too late if you still want to sign up. Just e/mail or call me to book your place. If the recent weather is anything to go by then another cracking weekend of sunshine should be on the cards so come and join us for a great weekend.

Just a short note to confirm a slight change to the normal format seen for this weekend.  Although the main bar will be available to us for drinks during the evening it won’t be exclusively ours due to other events taking place on site.  Therefore, we are using the Day Room which is behind the bar for our evening entertainment.  Because there is no bar in this function room we will be taking in our own – YIPPEEE!!  This will make it cheaper for all concerned.

Dear Friends,
From the fevered brow of Corinna, Noggin and Francis’ brains we wish to share the bumper happenings that will be SADY 2010.

World Cup and others
Depending on the success or failure of your particular team you will be keen to observe the soap opera of play in the main bar of Dalesbridge. No problem, please do so. Those of us who wish to avoid such stress will be found in a separate room to the main bar on Saturday evening.
Our world meal and BBQ will be running late into the evening to encourage such cool happenings.
The campsite will be shared with another group participating in geo-caching event during Saturday daytime. You are welcome to get involved in that event and experience this wonderful activity.

Sunday
We are off to the village of Hawes, North Yorkshire famous for the Dales Museum and the manufacture of Wensleydale Cheese. A gentle walk from Hawes to the waterfall that is Hardraw Force to create an appetite for a Dale’s pub lunch.
For the evening we have an acoustic set led by Loz Rabone and a disco.
For those fortunate ones, they can sleep over into Monday and at a leisurely pace break camp. I shall miss my favourite vegetarian café in Skipton.

We some thirty five persons booked in so far, if you are wavering please do come and share in the fun. The more the merrier.
We are struggling to find a qualified first aider, so if you are and going, please say so. Please do not forget to pack walking boots, insect repellent, citronella candles and suntan lotions.

SUNDAY DAYTIME
Sunday we shall use the town of Hawes as a base to explore. Most will go for lunch and potter, while some might go walking to explore the many paths surrounding the town. Hawes offers the opportunity to explore the Dales Countryside Museum and Gayle Mill – one of the first industrial cotton mills.
