Total cost of holiday; The brochure says £650, like last year, so
be prepared to pay that much. (Last year the holiday cost £587.03 for
those booked on ahead of deposit cut off date). Price includes hotel 1/2 board, skis, boots, pass, insurance, flights, holiday side transfers. Last year a surprise skidoo safari was sprung on us included in price. We didn't book airline meals,... but still got them - (this is unfortunate if you're vegetarian however). Excursions to the ice hotel (passport required), Santa and husky farm can be booked as well as skidoos, lessons etc. The hire gear last year was pristine, the slopes last year were pristine, the snow was the best I've come across in 20 years, queues don't exist and there are rarely other skiers outside of your party in sight! If you like fish, you'll like the menus, if you like meat, you'll like the menus (though 'meat' will be reindeer, so I suggest taking the beef, pork, chicken etc.) If you're vegetarian you're also catered for. Drink? Last year the beer with the meal was free and there was a whole keg of it. The drinks are about London prices due in part to 22.5% VAT, and also the hike the Finnish Gov. has on alcohol. The temperatures - while anyone was out there to look at the thermometers was between -8°C and -27°C, the rooms,... sometimes we opened a window to let some heat out! The hotel also has a hot Jacuzzi and the rooms booked last year also had a sauna. Free WiFi is also on tap. So
