Obtain a professional qualification with the National Federation of Plus Areas and build your career.

The National Federation of Plus Areas is offering an opportunity to its members to obtain a CIEH Level Two in Food Hygiene. This is an industry standard qualification that will enable the successful participants to work in foodservice, catering and manufacturing. For Plus and event organisers it will enable them to prepare food ; to run food stalls and serve freshly cooked food at public events such as carnivals , fairs, barbeques etc

Participants will undertake a course of delivery in food safety covering the topics ; causes of food poisoning and food borne infection ;the prevention of food spoilage and poisoning ; personal hygiene; design of premises and equipment; cleaning regimes ; pest control , legislation . This will be completed by an examination of thirty multiple choice questions that is marked externally.

Francis Wallington will be the course leader and has been delivering this course and qualification for twenty years to colleagues involve in food processing from shopfloor worker to director.

Participants are strongly advised to seek overnight accommodation locally for the evening of 25th March to enable a prompt start. [Lichfield Tourist Information 01543-412112] .There are ample opportunities within Midland Area for exploration and entertainment over the weekend.
